“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.
Literally two weeks before I ran across Rule NO. 6 dress socks, I was telling my wife I wanted to find new dress socks with fun designs. In the past, I've worn black socks and I was ready for a change. Then I ran across Rule No. 6's Kickstarter and was excited by what they were doing.
Before Bamboo socks, I had only ever bought the typical cotton sock. When I found out Rule NO. 6 was making a sock from Bamboo I was intrigued. From their Kickstarter, you could tell that the creators are passionate about socks. They want to not only solve the usual issues you find with socks, but they went above and beyond in providing a unique sock with a lot of tech.
After spending some time wearing their socks, there are a few things I really like. The padding on the bottom really makes the socks much more comfortable to wear. I have pretty bad feet, and these socks make a night and day different from my usual socks. The reinforced heel and toes give the sock a feeling of being built for wear. I also noticed that they are much less slippery when worn around home on slick floors, which helps reduce injury (I'm not saying I'm clumsy, but I might be).
Let's not forget these are not your typical black or white socks, they have some pretty awesome designs available that will make your socks stand out wherever you go. If you haven't seen the designs, you should checkout their website. They have 25 different sock design choices to choose from. People will definitely notice and compliment you on your sweet looking socks.
Next time your sock has a hole in the heel or toe, think about going to Rule No. 6 and buying a sock that will last. You'll be impressed with what they've created and how they feel. They are well thought out, built, and have great designs. Also from what I hear, they might be putting out another Kickstarter soon featuring ankle socks, so be on the look out for that.
