“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.
Living in a climate with cold winters and hot summers, I know how difficult it is to find clothes that will work for the commute and the office. That's why Grand Frank created the Intelligent Everyday Sweater that adapts based on your body temperature, which leaves me with only one question: why didn't anyone think of this sooner?
They set out to create this sweater without using nanotechnology or harsh chemicals, so how did they accomplish it? Turns out the answer was as simple as hollow fiber structures to create insulation. I was amazed that a sweater as lightweight as the Everyday Sweater could provide so much warmth. They are so much lighter yet warmer than the sweaters in my closet.
The team at Grand Frank went to Italy to work with knitwear artisans for this innovative sweater. I love how incredibly soft the sweaters are. Merino wool and Coolmax Pattented Fibers combine for a luxurious feel. You can find them in three styles that are perfect for layering and four colors so you can be stylish and comfortable on your commute or in the office.
